I once again had a dream about chess.
The board was longer and very wide, at least 8*16, and there was supposed to be a second line of pieces between pawns and normal chess pieces which were taken from chocolate egg toys. This closely resembled a game i played with my father in my very early years, although that one only had two lines of pieces and the board was self-assembled from small wooden squares - this one was a real chess-painted board.
I was putting the pieces down, then the pawns. Back rank pieces were also all jumbled up plus there was supposed to be a third bishop that i was struggling to find and put on the board for a long time. Interestingly enough, despite there being only 8 or 9 pieces on the back rank, there still was a piece on every square in some defiance of logic, i think the squares there were wider?
After i was done with pieces and pawns, i brought the chocolate egg toys but upon starting placing these, weirdness started happening. Something jumbled the pieces so that half of white and black ones switched places, plus some pawns got replaced with small flat round tokens. I was frustrated and angry on whoever did this and began switching them back, but amidst that some of my white pawns became red and some green, and the third white bishop disappeared again - i looked for it in another box but the best i was able to find was something that looked like a miniature thin roll of toilet paper.
And when i finally was done with that and switched to placing toys, the dream started rapidly fast-forwarding and i was seeing myself from outside my body as if in a video, with narrator commentary saying there's too many of these toy pieces and showing me explaining the rules for how each of them moves would be boring.
